Hello everyone,
It’s truly amazing to think that we are entering 30 years since Glad Tidings Publishing Incorporated (GTPI) began. Back in 1996, a verse from Nahum 1:15, “Look, there on the mountains, the feet of one who brings good news, who proclaims peace!”, deeply resonated with us. That year, we started with a simple publication called Light Touch Magazine. It was a small beginning, but it held big dreams for Philippine education.
Our biggest and most special project, A Pocketful of Virtues (APOV), came to life soon after. We wanted to create a K-12 series that didn’t just teach facts but also strong values. APOV became a bestseller, and it warms our hearts to hear how it has guided countless students into successful careers, built on integrity and peace. It proved that good values are truly the foundation of a bright future.
We couldn’t have done it alone. Thanks to many like-minded people, we expanded our K-12 offerings. Series like Ignite, Maze, Baybay Saysay, Sulo, and Exploring the Digital World came to be, each designed to meet the diverse needs of Filipino students.
Beyond textbooks, we also published inspirational books. Titles such as After Thoughts, Letters from Tatay, JIA’s 50th Year, Bruised/Broken/Blessed, and Relevance were created to share hope and wisdom with a wider audience.
To all our clients who believed in us and in the core principles that guide our work over the years – thank you. Your trust and partnership have been key to our journey.
Today, the world faces new challenges. But this only strengthens our belief: Filipino students need values-anchored, future-ready publications now more than ever. We remain committed to providing high-quality educational materials that prepare our youth not just academically, but also morally, for the future.
Thank you for being a part of the GTPI story. Stay tuned to the various value-adding services we have prepared for schools, teachers, parents, students, and communities at large. Cheers to many more years of working together to build a better future for our learners!
Sincerely,
Nomeluna D. Canlas
President, GTPI
